About the Teachers

Priscilla Anne Flynn, RYT

Priscilla Anne Flynn is director of Yoga Sanctuary. A Certified (Kripalu) Hatha Yoga Teacher, Certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, Certified (Lotus Palm School) Thai Yoga Bodywork Practitioner with experience in education, meditation and Yoga since 1972, she is described as "a compassionate and intuitive teacher, who encourages students to listen to the wisdom of their bodies as she gently guides them in a very personal practice of Yoga."

Pat Ladew

Pat Ladew is a Professional Level Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher. Pat's love of Yoga during her long time personal practice has changed her life. Her enjoyment in sharing Yoga's many benefits is evident in her clear, joyful teaching methods.

Bhavani-Margaret Brown

Bhavani-Margaret Brown has pursued a variety of spiritual practices including Shamanism, Hypnotherapy and various forms of breath work. She studied under Ram Dass, a notable author and spiritual teacher, and was given the spiritual name Bhavani, "giver of life", by Ram Dass in 1976. She is a Certified Hypnotherapist and has been teaching meditation classes at The Yoga Sanctuary since 1998. Margaret shares her many gifts with us through her gentle and compassionate teachings.

Vijay Chitra, RYT

Vijay Chitra is a yoga teacher trained in Hatha Yoga, as taught to him by Yogiraj Swami Bua Ji. Vijay has practiced Yoga since 1982 and he has been teaching since 1987 in local schools and community centers. He is also a long time practitioner and a teacher of Pranayama and Meditation. His sincere dedication to Yoga and in sharing its benefits is evident in his 16 years of voluntary service to our local community.

Natalie Newell

Natalie has been practicing Yoga for over 30 years. She is a Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher. Her new passion is Kundalini Yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan) and she is currently enrolled in a Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Program. Natalie is also a certified Thai Yoga Bodyworker with a background in Licensed Massage Therapy and Reiki. Natalie says, "I love the new challenges that Kundalini Yoga brings to my personal practice and my teaching. I'm more energetic, stronger and fearless than I have ever been!

Arielle (Eckhaus) Welch

Arielle (Eckhaus) Welch's eclectic lifelong background in teaching and guiding children and in ski and water sports education eventually led her to practice Yoga as a way to improve health, find clarity and relieve depression. She has been teaching since 2004 after completing Baron Baptiste's Level I & II Teacher Training. She has studied Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga extensively, and was inspired by the Anusara Yoga system, experiencing the blending of both disciplines. She is also a prenatal yoga teacher. Her desire is to share the "new possibilities" that Yoga presents to those who will embrace it.

Zsuzsa Belhazy-Kovacs, M.S.M.E., RYT

Zsuzsa started out as a classical ballet dancer, studying for 12 years in Hungary. She started practicing yoga with Lilias Folan's PBS series: Lilias, Yoga and You back in the early eighties, while living in Vermont. She is interested in healing modalities, meditation, qi gong, creative dance and dance therapy. Currently she studies Iyengar Yoga with Patricia Walden.
