Originally coming to yoga as a runner to improve physical flexibility and strength, Inge has found benefits that stretch far beyond the physical. She has connected deeply with the calming, meditative and spiritual aspects of posture flow and breath and incorporates this meditation in movement into her personal practice and her teaching. She believes that yoga is a very personal, often private experience that can be very different for each individual. Her goal is to help students connect with that personal space. Her style is eclectic and flowing and draws upon her experience with many different and wonderful teachers who represent styles including Kripalu, Iyengar and Anusara yoga.
Kathryn Shipman, Interdisciplinary Yoga Alliance Instructor, RYT & CPR
Kathryn's Interdisciplinary Yoga classes welcome Beginner/Intermediate students. Her instruction is sensitive to existing conditions and personal development needs. Yoga is taught with reverence for the individual's inner peace and with respect for the sometimes humorous, lighter side of asking our bodies to balance, twist and invert to centuries old yogic traditions! Students practice at their unique level with heart energy and breath leading the body in movement. Poses, flows and therapeutic stretches safely support proper alignment of muscles and joints. After years of being drawn to Yoga for its clarifying effect, Kathryn gained her yoga teaching certification from Niralambaya Academy of Yogic Arts with dedication and thanks to her Interdisciplinary Instructors: Amy Spencer, ERYT (School Owner/Trainer), Priscilla Flynn, ERYT and Arielle Eckhaus-Welch, RYT. Kathryn is a lifelong yoga student who continues to share and receive the joy and benefits of yoga in our local community.
