Thai Yoga Bodywork with Priscilla
In the temples of Thailand many centuries ago, a dynamic bodywork therapy based on Yoga, Ayurveda and the martial arts was born. The practitioner guides the fully dressed recipient through a series of Yoga postures while palming and thumbing along the body's energy lines and pressure points.
These actions result in a comprehensive, full-body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system, and balances the body energetically.
Perhaps the most important element in the practice is metta, unconditional love and compassion.
Traditional Thai Yoga Bodywork is an ancient form of bodywork that originated in India and settled in Siam, now known as Thailand. This Southeast-Asian system of health made its way to the U.S. in the early 1980's and continues to gain popularity today.
Thai Yoga Bodywork is an effective way to relieve chronic muscle tension, headaches, neck and back pain, sciatic nerve pain, and digestive disorders, as well as effectively reducing the mental anxiety and physical discomfort brought on by the cumulative effects of everyday stress.
At times referred to as "lazy man's yoga", the result of this work often lasts for days, leaving the client with a general sense of calm, openness, and mental clarity, accompanied by the unique feeling of having been plugged in and recharged - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

"There is such joy in moving without any effort on my part! I have never been so aware of my body as when I don't have to do anything, anything at all, and yet I'm moving into positions I didn't know I could do."
